FAQ
Q: If I'm running late can I bring my child in his /her pajamas?
A: Yes, because this is a home daycare I will have more
time to attend to each child. This will also give me the
opportunity to work with the younger children on teaching
them how to dress themselves.
Q: What if my child is running a mild fever or is feeling ill?
A: There is no black or white answer. It depends on the childs
age, symptoms and illness if attending child care is in there
best interest. For example if your child has a 101 fever, a
center will not allow your child to attend no matter what the
underlying issue is. This is where the benefit of my child care
and motherly common sense kicks in. If your child is running
the fever due to teething I have no issue watching him /her
and monitoring there fever. Please feel free to call me at
anytime and we can discuss it case by case as needed.
Q: When do I (parent /Guardian) need to inform you of our
vacation?
A: Please notify me at least 2 weeks in advance.
Q: What happens when you are on vacation?
A: Part of home daycare is having a back up for your child. I will
always give you plenty of notice of my vacation /time off
schedule. I do have a backup for my doctor appointments that
I cannot make after business hours. This way you'll have no
interruption of child care. However, finding someone to cover a
whole week is a little more challenging. For additional
information please refer to the policies.
Please mark your calendar:
I have a set vacation week every year. It's always the
third week in April (this year April 19, 2010).
Q: Is your backup licensed?
A: A backup must be CPR certified if they work in your daycare
30 hrs or more in a calendar year and have a Dakota County
back ground check on file. It is not require that a back up be
licensed for home child care.
Q: Is there a discount if I have more than one child who needs
care?
A: Yes, the youngest child will be billed at the normal rate. The older
child (children) will receive a 10% discount.
Q: Do you have a smoke free home?
A: Yes, my husband and I do not smoke and do not allow
anyone to smoke in our house or garage.
